Hello, we're Sophie and Katie, the two people behind Milestone Vault. We're a small family team, not a faceless company, and we built this for the same reason you might be reading it now: there are things we want the people we love to hear on the days that matter most (birthdays, weddings, hard moments), even on the days we might not be there for.
We treat every letter left with us as if it were our own family's. That means real encryption, real backups, and a promise to be honest with you for the long haul. If you ever want to talk to a real person, that's us. Just get in touch.
Our Story
Milestone Vault was born from a simple but profound realisation: the most meaningful words we want to share often arrive at the wrong time, or worse, never arrive at all.
We've all felt it: the longing to hear from someone who is no longer here, the wish to leave words of wisdom for our children when they're older, or the hope of sharing love and guidance for moments we might not live to witness. We wanted to build something that lets your words show up anyway.
Our Mission
We believe meaningful words shouldn't be constrained by time. Whether you're writing to your future self, preparing letters for your children's milestones, or making sure your voice lives on after you're gone, Milestone Vault gives you a secure, private, and intentional way to preserve and deliver your most important messages. The letter that inspired us
Milestone Vault was inspired by Robert Butler, who on his 60th birthday received many heartfelt letters from family and friends. He realised how much he would have loved to have received a message from his own Dad too, who sadly wasn't with him anymore. We understood then how powerful it would be if messages like these could live on for life's biggest milestones, even when we're no longer here to say the words ourselves. We hope we've made this possible for you, Rob, so your words can be there for your children's 60th birthdays, even if you are not.
Our Values
Privacy First
Your messages are encrypted with strong AES-256 encryption and stored securely. They stay private to you and the recipient you choose. We never sell your letters or use them for advertising.
Intentional Design
Every feature is designed with care and purpose. We don't add complexity for its own sake, we build tools that serve the meaningful act of preserving your words.
Respect & Privacy
Recipients must log in to view messages, ensuring privacy and security. Message content is never sent via email, only notifications that a letter is waiting.
Accessibility
We believe everyone should be able to preserve their legacy, regardless of age or technical experience. Our interface is simple, clear, and designed for all.
